The Out Traveler and OutTraveler.com, the world's leading LGBT travel sources, are pleased to announce the winners of the 4th Annual Readers' Choice Awards. For the past four years The Out Traveler has polled its readers to find the choice destinations, hotels, airlines and resorts for the gay and lesbian traveler.

"Hearty congratulations to all our winners," said Ed Salvato, Editor in Chief of The Out Traveler and OutTraveler.com. "This year we more than doubled the number of gay and lesbian travelers who responded to our survey on OutTraveler.com. This attests to the high quality of our 2008 winners. Special kudos to California for winning in our first-time category: Legal Gay Honeymoon Destination!"

The Out Traveler readers determined the winners of the Readers' Choice Awards by voting in an online survey posted during the summer. With the largest number of respondents ever, The Out Traveler readers this year awarded gold, silver and bronze medal honors in 14 different categories that varied from international and domestic destinations of the year to best hotel collection and best cruise line.

In addition to the first-ever Legal Gay Honeymoon Destination honor, this year The Out Traveler instituted its Hall of Fame category honoring those winners that have won the gold medal for three consecutive years. This year's Hall of Fame inductees include: New York City in the Domestic Destination category, W Hotels for Hotel Collection, American Airlines as Domestic Airline and Atlantis Events in the Large All-Gay Tour Operator category.

"All of us at American Airlines are deeply honored to be named to the Hall of Fame," said George Carrancho of American Airlines' Rainbow TeAAm. "We realized first-hand that corporate reputation is earned every single day by the hard work of our employees and sustained leadership by our management to stand up for LGBT inclusion and equality. This is why I love my job as a manager on our Rainbow TeAAm with Betty Young – and to lead the path for other airlines to follow."
